Gujarat Titans came out with a solid intent after being asked to bat first. The innings was powered by a brilliant knock from skipper Shubman Gill, who played a captain’s innings and scored 90 runs off 55 balls, smashing 10 boundaries and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 163.64 before falling to Vaibhav Arora.
Youngster Sai Sudharsan gave great support at the top with a fluent 52 off 36 balls, including 6 fours and a six, contributing to a steady opening stand before being dismissed by Andre Russell.
Jos Buttler, who has been playing a vital role in the middle-order, fired a quick 41* off just 23 balls. Though he didn’t clear the ropes, his 8 fours helped maintain the momentum through the death overs.
Rahul Tewatia couldn’t make an impact and was dismissed for a duck in just 2 balls by Harshit Rana. However, Shahrukh Khan added a late spark with an unbeaten 11 off just 5 deliveries, hitting one six and ending the innings on a high note.

Gujarat Titans dominated this clash with a commanding all-round performance. Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a brilliant 90, while Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler ensured GT posted a big total. Their bowlers backed it up perfectly, picking up timely wickets and never allowing KKR to build momentum. Rashid Khan and Prasidh Krishna were particularly impressive in the middle and death overs.
With this 39-run win, GT strengthens its position in the points table, while KKR will have to regroup quickly to bounce back in the next game.
